MCALLEN, Texas – LiftFund, a nonprofit organization that helps small business growth, has announced a new partnership with the Small Business Administration and the Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
The three groups are launching the Grow Now Accelerator. The free training program aims to equip entrepreneurs with the necessary resources and knowledge to propel their businesses to new heights.
Five five sessions will be offered, covering essential business topics for entrepreneurs, including mentorship and networking opportunities.
LiftFund’s Market Director Marlene Rodriguez said the comprehensive program offers a unique opportunity for small business owners in McAllen and the surrounding areas to gain the knowledge and resources they need to succeed in the current economic climate.
“At LiftFund, we’re thrilled to join forces with the Small Business Administration and the Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for the launch of the Grow Now Accelerator program,” Rodriguez told the Rio Grande Guardian International News Service.
“Through this comprehensive program, we’re empowering McAllen entrepreneurs to strengthen their businesses and build a brighter future for our community.”
Cynthia M. Sakulenzki, president and CEO of the RGV Hispanic Chamber of commerce, said the Grow Now Accelerator consists of five free training sessions, covering essential topics such as digital marketing, business financials and funding, sales strategy, and growth planning.
Sakulenzki said the program is open to entrepreneurs at all stages of their journey, from ideation to established businesses.
“As advocates for small businesses, the RGV Hispanic Chamber understands the importance of providing the necessary tools and resources to help businesses succeed,” Sakulenzki told the Rio Grande Guardian International News Service. “We are proud to collaborate with LiftFund and the Small Business Administration and look forward to the positive impact that the Grow Now Accelerator program will have on our local economy and the RGV small business community.”
In addition to expert training, participants will receive mentorship and access to a network of seasoned entrepreneurs and industry experts who can help them navigate challenges and grow their businesses. The program also offers opportunities for networking and collaboration with like-minded individuals.
Eligible participants will meet once a week for five weeks with each session lasting one hour. The program will culminate in a graduation celebration and networking event.
The Accelerator starts Wednesday, July 12, 2023 and runs weekly through Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Registration is free and open until Friday, June 30th. Interested business owners are encouraged to attend the virtual info session on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 6pm CST.
