During National Women’s Small Business Month, we celebrate entrepreneurs like Dr. Martha Manquero-Butler, owner of New Light Primary Care, a passionate business owner helping her community heal with assistance from LiftFund.
In 2009, Martha recruited her brother and decided to open her own practice – New Light Primary Care – specializing in geriatric care.
In their first few years of business, New Light was able to accommodate the growing elderly population; however, as the market grew their need for more practitioners and a bigger clinic became evident. That’s when Martha decided to seek help.
After being referred by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, LiftFund and First Light Federal Credit Union granted Martha an SBA 504 loan, which helps small businesses grow through real estate expansion, heavy equipment purchases or leasehold improvements.
Now, Martha is able to accommodate her growing demand and aid the elderly in El Paso. “I want to go further and serve more people,” she said.
“God has given me the opportunity to start something, and I want to complete it. I want to give hope to people that are homebound.”
LiftFund is proud to offer so many opportunities to entrepreneurs and business owners alike. Our goal is to provide the business resources, the business tools, and business loans to make as big of an impact as possible. Sometimes businesses just need a lift, and that is why we exist.
